From a submitted blog post by Cory Legendre in 2020.
So hey there, I’m Cory Legendre.
Good introduction right?
I am writing the first blog post on the launch of IYR Artists Blogs, just to say how grateful I am for my experience with itsyourradio. Nothing beats this.
If you don’t know who I am, my profile on here tells you a little of my history. I had an interesting career in my younger — and I mean way younger — years. I traveled because of the music industry, enjoyed time on stage entertaining people, my favorite thing to do. I love music. I love *most* everything about the music industry. I had good luck in the industry. My other career path involved the radio industry, hosting and producing shows like Cory Live’s Radio Bedroom and The Night Show. I also produced and co-hosted with amazing people like Kat Vecchione on multiple programs over the years. And then there were shows like NTL Rock Radio, hosted by someone who became a good friend, Heidi, known as the Leopardlady. And, of course, we can’t forget the program I did with my mother “Mainely Loie”, which we actually won some amazing recognition for, back in the day, Serious Business…and not so serious. I had a lot of fun doing all these shows, and appearing on many others. I’m not going to give you a whole career history here, that’s not what this is about….my biography and posts across the net tell you enough of that!
My other background that I don’t talk about, and kept separate from my “public image” career was my background in computers, website design, marketing, etc. But, that comes into play pretty heavily here with itsyourradio.
With my background in the music and radio industry, and a true passion for both of those industries, plus my love of design and love of working with people, starting itsyourradio was a no-brainer. Especially after medical issues made it so I couldn’t perform and be active in the way I used to be. Everything I have created with IYR is to give back to artists, bands, hosts, podcasters….content creators of all types, and I did it because both industries treated me so well — or else I just got lucky — and this is the way I felt I could best give back to creators.
I thank you all for supporting me, and supporting this platform. I will always be here for you all and I can’t wait to read other stories shared here. I can’t wait for artists to announce their next big album release… this is in my blood…in my DNA… Music and radio are both pure passions of mine, and that’s why I’m here, and why itsyourradio is here. That’s enough of me rambling on, but I wanted to make a post to kick off the new IYR Artists Blogs, and say my story, how I’m involved, and just kick things off, get things rolling.
Forever peace and love,
Cory Legendre

Really amazing pages you have put together! keep up the great work
Thank you for your support! I’m glad I’ve been able to launch this platform and do all that I am doing for artists and creators. It’s really a good turn after a long career spanning both the radio and music industries, to be able to do something that contributes and gives back to the underdogs of both.
I’m proud of what we’re doing here at IYR and will continue to grow the platform with independent creators in mind.
